Last-Mile Delivery Occupational Accident Insurance for Agents

1099 Protect's Last Mile & Install program lets independent agents place occupational accident insurance (OAI) for 1099 delivery drivers, helpers, and install crews working for DSPs, courier fleets, and final-mile carriers. Coverage runs $160–$180 per driver per month, includes up to $1,000,000 in accident medical, and binds in about 1 hour on a clean submission.

How Placement Works

One Account Application

The operator completes one master application that sets up the fleet, billing, and limits.

Drivers enroll on a short mobile form and e-sign. No chasing paper.

1-Hour Turnaround

Clean submissions bind in about an hour.

Pay-As-You-Go Billing

The Conversation With Your Delivery Client

The gap

Commercial auto and general liability don't pay for a 1099 driver's own injury. When an uncovered driver gets hurt on a route or during an install, the operator is the first place they look.

The documentation

Each driver carrying OAI in their own name documents that they operate as independent businesses. It does not guarantee an audit outcome, but it strengthens the operator's independent-contractor file and helps meet platform contractor-insurance requirements.

Not Workers' Comp

Workers' Compensation covers W-2 employees. OAI covers 1099 independent contractors. They are legally distinct products for legally distinct workforces.
